World’s highest paid leaders

October 7, Fineko/abc.az. The top of the highest-paid leaders of states in the world is headed by Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. His salary is about $1.69 million per year.

According to Forbes, Swiss President Viola Amherd is in second place ($569,500 a year), Australian PM Anthony Albanese is in 3rd place ($412,500 a year). U.S. President Joe Biden is in 4th place, his salary - $400,000 a year. Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer closes Top 5 - $316,700 a year.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is in the 28th place of the rating. His salary is $113,600 (10.2 million rubles) per year. At the same time, 10 years ago he said that "he doesn't know how much he gets."

The declaration of the head of state submitted to the CEC before this year's elections stated that from 2017 to 2022, Putin received income in the amount of 67.59 million rubles. These are the salary of the president, income from bank deposits, securities, military and ordinary pensions, as well as funds from the sale of property.

At the end of the list are Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali ($1,700 a year), Nigerian President Bola Tinubu ($2,200) and Mongolian PM Luvsannamsraina Oyun-Erdene ($3,800).
