October 1, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 8 months of 2024, the Baku trade turnover grew by 5% versus the 2023 same term to 21.5 bn manats.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Baku City Statistics Department that the value of food, beverages and tobacco products sold in the retail chain increased by 4% against the 2023 same term up to 11.7 bn manats, while the volume of non-food products by 6.2% up to 9.798 bn manats.

37.2% of consumer goods are sold at enterprises with legal entity status, 47.8% - in retail facilities owned by individual entrepreneurs, and 15% – in the commodity markets of the capital.
