September 27, Fineko/abc.az. Despite the fact that in 2024 there was a decrease in deposits of legal entities, which are the main source of financing for the banking sector, there was a high increase in deposits of individuals.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the Central Bank's financial stability report for the first half of 2024.

In the 1st half of this year, deposits of legal entities lowered by 3% (663 million manats) and amounted to 21.3 billion manats, while deposits of individuals increased by 10.3% (1.3 billion manats) up to 13.9 billion manats.

As a result, according to data at the end of the first half of 2024, the share of deposits of legal entities in liabilities is 2.7 percentage points. The share of deposits of individuals in liabilities declined to 48.3%, and the share of deposits of individuals in liabilities grew by 2.3 p.p. and made up 31.5%.
