September 25, Fineko/abc.az. The agreement on the abolition of double taxation between Azerbaijan and Slovakia is likely to enter into force on January 1, 2025, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Deputy Economy Minister Anar Akhundov, as saying this at the Azerbaijani-Slovak Business Forum in Baku.
He added that this agreement will contribute to improving the business environment between the two countries.
The deputy minister recalled that the first meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovakia took place in Baku today.
"We agreed to strengthen our efforts in various fields in order to bring economic cooperation to a new level. There are all the necessary conditions for this," he said.
The agreement between the governments of Azerbaijan and Slovakia on the abolition of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion was signed in June 2023 during the working visit of FM Jeyhun Bayramov to Bratislava.
