August 30, Fineko/abc.az. Prices of benchmark oil grades continued their upward climb in Friday's trading sessions.

The price of Brent crude futures for October delivery on the ICE Futures exchange rose by $0.27 (0.34%) to $80.21 per barrel by 09:25 AM. In the previous trading session on August 29, the October Brent crude futures had already surged by $1.29 (1.64%), closing at $79.94 per barrel.

The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures for October delivery on the NYMEX commodity exchange also witnessed gains. By 09:25 AM, WTI futures were up by $0.25 (0.33%), reaching $76.16 per barrel. The previous day's trading had seen October WTI futures rise by $1.39 (1.87%), settling at $75.91 per barrel.
