August 22, Fineko/abc.az. The number of payment cards in circulation through bank systems and Azerpost LLC at the end of July increased by 249,000 units compared to the previous month and amounted to 18,340,000 units.

ABC.AZ reports, citing the Central Bank, that this figure represents a 19.5% increase compared to the same period last year.

The growth of payment cards was 20.8% for debit cards and 11.4% for credit cards.

Compared to the end of July last year, the number of ATMs increased by 3%, and the number of POS terminals saw a 19.4% growth.
