July 29, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2024, Azerbaijan exported 4.683 bcm of gas to Türkiye.
ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the monthly report of the Turkish Energy Market Control & Regulation Authority (EPDC).
The idnicator is 5.6% more than in the first 5 months of 2023.
In May 2024, Azerbaijan exported 1.008 bcm of natural gas to Türkiye (9.24% more than in May 2023).
Thus, in May, Azerbaijan retained its leadership among natural gas exporting countries to Türkiye. Azerbaijan accounted for 35% of all natural gas imported by Türkiye in May.
In general, in May, gas exports to Türkiye amounted to 2.882 bcm [a decline of 21.94%]. At that, pipeline gas accounted for 2.336 bcm (81.06% of all supplies, a decline of 17.49%), liquefied natural gas (LNG) – 545.86 million cu m(18.94% of all supplies, a drop of 36.56%).
In May, gas supplies to Türkiye were carried out from six countries (Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran – by pipelines, the U.S., Egypt, Algeria – LNG).
