July 23, Fineko/abc.az. As of July 1, 2024, the assets of the Azerbaijani banking sector amounted to 50.328 billion manats.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that the indicator is 11.3% more than on July 1, 2023.
The net loans given to customers totaled 23.97 billion manats of banks' assets.
Over Jan-Jun 2024, the sector's loan portfolio grew by 19.5%, and the share of loans in assets increased from 44.4% to 47.6%.
The liabilities of the banking sector increased by 12.2% and reached 44.086 billion manats, including the deposit portfolio by 9.8% up to 35.185 million manats. Of them, 13.88 billion manats are deposits of individuals and 21.3 billion manats — deposits of legal entities. Over Jan-Jun 2024, population’s money in banks increased by 11.3% and companies’ finances by 8.8%.
Banks' liabilities to the Central Bank declined 2.3-fold to 47.1 million manats.
The balance sheet capital of the sector grew by 5.6% up to 6.24 billion manats.
