Banks’ demand at foreign exchange auction fell by 59%

July 11, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), with the participation of the State Oil Fund, held a currency auction.

According to the CBA, at the currency auction on July 11, the demand of banks amounted to $30.6 million and was fully secured. This is $44.7 million (59.36%) less than at the last auction.

At a foreign exchange auction on July 9, the Central Bank sold $75.3 million to banks.

According to the results of the currency auction, the weighted average exchange rate of the manat was formed at the level of 1.7000 AZN/USD.
