July 8, Fineko/abc.az. In 2023, the trade turnover between the Chinese city of Qingdao and old Baku will more than double and amount to 233 million yuans ($32.05 million).

ABC.AZ reports that Meng Weiwei, the director of the Department for West Asian and African Affairs of the Trade Bureau of the Qingdao City Municipality, at the conference in Baku "Demonstration Zone of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization - promotion of logistics and trade in Azerbaijan".

He noted that Qingdao is a city rich in marine resources:

"China's largest laboratory, Lushan, operates in the city. There are 12 laboratories in the city. This is an important factor for the further development of the relationship. Qingdao is taking steps to expand the real sector of the economy and develop various spheres, including the sphere of "green" energy."
