Oil price goes up, and Brent is at $87.11 a barrel

July 5, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades are decreasing in Friday’s trading.

The price of Brent crude futures for September at the London ICE Futures Exchange fell by $0.32 (0.37%) to $87.11 per barrel by 09:32. Following the trading on July 4, September Brent crude futures rose by $0.09 (0.10%) to $87.43 per barrel.

The price of August’s WTI oil futures on the electronic trading of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) dropped by $0.36 (0.43%) to $83.70 per barrel by 09:32. On Thursday, July 4, exchanges in the United States were closed due to the celebration of Independence Day, and a day earlier the contract ended trading at $83.88 per barrel, the highest since April 16.
