June 27, Fineko/abc.az. The number of payment cards in circulation through the systems of banks and Azerpocht LLC increased by 191,000 cards at the end of May compared with previous month up to 17.867 million cards, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Central Bank.

Compared with Jan-May 2023, this figure increased by 21.2%. The growth of payment cards made up 22.1% on debit cards and 15.3% on credit cards. The growth of payment cards has had positive impact on non-cash payments.
