June 27, Fineko/abc.az. Russian banks are changing the formats of work with the CIS countries, abandoning representative offices. However, in parallel, they are increasingly developing their presence in friendly foreign countries — both through representative offices and through branches.

ABC.AZ reports that since the beginning of the year, the Russian Agricultural Bank (Rosselkhozbank; RSKB), which acts as a support bank for the agro-industrial sector, has closed three out of four foreign representative offices, according to Central Bank’s data. All offices were located in the CIS — in Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia and operated for more than 10 years.
