June 7, Fineko/abc.az. At today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis extraordinary session, the draft law on amendments to the Law on State Budget 2024 was considered in the 1st reading.

ABC.AZ reports that the document was presented by Tahir Mirkishili, the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.

Finance Minister Samir Sharifov is also taking part in the meeting.

The amendments provide for additional expenses in the amount of 3.796 million manats.

Of them, 1.16 million manats are intended for a number of priority areas, including construction and restoration work in the territories liberated from occupation, and 807 million manats for further improving the country's defense capability and security.

It is planned to allocate 1.184 million manats for financial support of infrastructure and other projects, 499 million manats for financing international activities and other expenses, as well as 146 million manats for necessary capital expenditures, repairs, etc.

The expenditures of State Budget 2024, after revision, are projected at 39.707 million manats and revenues – 36.353 million manats.

The deficit in 2024 will increase by 764 million manats and reach 3.354 million manats.
