June 4, Fineko/abc.az. As part of the opening of the Baku Energy Week, the foundation of three power plants to be built by Masdar in Azerbaijan will be laid.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Zamina Aliyeva, the Advisor to the Energy Minister of Azerbaijan.

"The total capacity of the three power plants will be 1,000 MW. Relevant agreements have already been signed with Masdar. The company will build two solar power plants in Bilasuvar (445 MW) and Neftchala (315 MW) and one wind farm in Garadagh on Absheron with capacity of 240 MW," Aliyeva said.

She added that the total volume of investments in these projects is estimated at about $1 bn.
