July 17, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has approved the draft amendments to the Law on Customs Tariff and the decree on its application.

According to the amendments, import of goods of domestic origin, fully produced or sufficiently processed in the Alat FEZ, to the main territory of the Azerbaijani economy is exempt from customs duties, provided that at least 50% of the volume of these goods is exported outside the country.

This customs benefit will be granted for 15 years from the date of establishment of the relevant FEZ legal entity. The law will enter into force on January 1, 2027.

The Cabinet Ministers has been instructed to determine the list of these goods and the rules for their import from the FEZ into the national economy within three months, and to inform the Head of State about this.
