Russia Suspends Fruit Imports from Five Turkish Companies

21:37 - 17.07.2026

July 17, Fineko/abc.az. Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has introduced temporary restrictions on the supply of sour cherries, sweet cherries, peaches, apricots, and plums from five Turkish producers.

The import ban on these stone fruits and berries will take effect on July 18. According to TASS news agency, the decision was prompted by the systematic detection of quarantine pests and contaminated objects in recent stone fruit shipments arriving in Russia from Turkey.
