May 15, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of internet banking transactions in Azerbaijan increased by 18% in the first quarter of 2024 versus Q1 of 2023 and exceeded 59 bn manats (over $34.7 bn).

ABC.AZ reports that Rashad Orujov, the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, stated about this.

He added that the volume of mobile banking services has doubled to 15 bn manats (over $8.82 bn).

In total, 93% of customer transfers to current accounts in number and 75% in volume were carried out by electronic banking in the 1st quarter of this year.
