May 13, Fineko/abc.az. The consumer price index for Jan-Apr of this year made up 100.7% compared with Jan-Apr 2023, including 99.3% for food, beverages and tobacco products, 101.3% for non-food products, 102.4% for paid services provided to the population.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the CPI for April 2024 made up 100% compared with the same month of 2023, including 98.2% for food, beverages and tobacco products, 100.9% for non-food products, 102% for paid services rendered to the population.
The CPI for April 2024 made up 99.9% compared with the previous month. The CPI for food, beverages and tobacco products reached 99.6% against the previous month.
This April, more than in the previous month, a decrease in prices for individual food products was recorded on semolina and buckwheat, pasta, fresh fish, milk, eggs, margarine, sunflower and corn oils, walnuts, hazelnuts, tomatoes, cucumbers, greens, eggplants, potatoes.
The price increase was mainly observed on lemons, bananas, apples, pears, kiwis, chestnuts, cabbage, sweet peppers, table beets, garlic. There have been no significant changes in the prices of other food products.
