German bank KfW intends to issue its first blockchain-based digital bond

May 7, Fineko/abc.az. German state development bank Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) intends to issue its first blockchain-based digital bond in the form of a cryptocurrency security.

ABC.AZ reports that KfW has previously issued the first digital bond in the form of securities in accordance with the German law on e-securities, known as eWpG.

"We’re now taking the next big step by issuing blockchain-based bonds, for which we want to attract as many investors as possible," bank’s rep Tim Armbruster said.
