Oil price goes up, and Brent is at $83.31 a barrel

May 6, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades are increasing in Monday’s trading after a drop following the previous week.

The price of July’s Brent crude futures at the London ICE Futures Exchange grew by $0.35 (0.42%) to $83.31 per barrel by 09:42. Following the trading on May 3, Brent crude futures for July fell by $0.71 (0.85%) to $82.96 per barrel.

The price of WTI crude oil futures for June on the electronic trading of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) rose by $0.36 (0.46%) to $78.47 per barrel by 09:42. Following the trading on May 3, the price of June’s WTI oil futures dropped by $0.84 (1.06%) to $78.11 per barrel.

At the end of the week, Brent crude oil fell by 5.95% and WTI oil by 6.85%.
