May 2, Fineko/abc.az. According to the legislation, parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November of this year.

ABC.AZ reports that the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Mazahir Panahov, said about this at today’s meeting.

"However, the elections may be brought forward because of the need to commence training for election commission members.

"Since the time of the parliamentary elections coincides with COP29, which is to be held in Azerbaijan, it can be decided to bring the elections forward," Panahov added.

This November, Azerbaijan will host the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29). The conference will be held at the Baku Olympic Stadium.
