Banks’ loan portfolio observed growth of 4% in first 3 months

May 1, Fineko/abc.az. The monetary base grew by 10.9% at the end of 2023, Central Bank’s chairman Taleh Kazimov said at a press conference devoted to the announcement of the discount rate.

ABC.AZ reports that the CBA chairman noted that the main tool was the revision of the norm of mandatory reserves.

“The loan portfolio has grown by 4% in the first 3 months of 2024. We do not observe any reductions in lending to the financial, in particular, the banking sector,” Kazimov said.
