ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made at a press conference by Mastercard Vice President for Business Development Mehmet Gulez.

He emphasized that banks in Azerbaijan want to expand their services, so local banks are interested in cooperating with Mastercard in this direction.

"Our cooperation with the Central Bank, as well as with local banks, is currently continuing in a different form. We are also cooperating with the Central Bank on open banking and other new projects," Gulez said.
