April 15, Fineko/abc.az. During the first quarter of 2024, the production of precious metals in Azerbaijan increased compared with Q1 of 2023.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the State Statistics Committee, the country produced 839.8 kg of silver (16.3% more versus Q1 of 2023).

The gold production grew by 3.8% year-on-year and amounted to 427.6 kg.

And the volume of copper concentrate decreased by 93.6% against last year to 54.3 tons.

Since the beginning of 2024, an ounce of gold and silver has risen in price by about 14% to $2,350 and $28, respectively.

A kilogram of gold is currently worth more than $75,582.
