Kazakhstan's Halyk Bank stops servicing Mir cards

April 3, Fineko/abc.az. Halyk Bank (Kazakhstan) has stopped servicing cards of Russian payment system Mir since the end of February, ABC.AZ reports, quoting an employee of financial institution's call center.

"The last change was on February 27, Mir cards are no longer serviced," he said.

According to the employee, this applies to both ATMs and POS-terminals. At that, the reasons for the current restrictions are not specified.

Halyk Bank is a backbone commercial bank of Kazakhstan, one of the largest banks in the republic in terms of capital.
