March 29, Fineko/abc.az. As of February 29, 2024, the external liabilities of banks operating in Azerbaijan are estimated at 2.12 bn mantas (18.4% less than at the end of 2023), ABC.AZ reports, referring to the CBA.

In February, banks' external liabilities fell by 375.6 million manats (in January 2024: - 102.1 million manats).

According to the CBA, at the end of February 2024, the net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 2.522 bn mantas (5.6% less than at the end of 2023).

In February, the net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks decreased by 354.3 million manats (in January 2024: +204.2 million manats).

In 2023, banks' external liabilities grew by 47.5%, and net foreign assets decreased 2.4-fold.
