March 28, Fineko/abc.az. The inflation forecast for 2024 remains unchanged (the forecast for January of this year is 5.3%).

ABC.AZ informs that according to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, in general, the increasing and decreasing risks of inflation balance each other.

"Annual inflation is expected to remain within the target (4±2%) in 2024 if current conditions remain unchanged. The analysis shows that in the rest of the year there is a possibility of a downward change in the annual inflation forecast," the CBA said.

The CBA reports that the annual inflation rate continued to decline since the last session.

"In February 2024, 12-month inflation was 0.8%, and 12-month core inflation was 1.4%. Annual food deflation was 0.3%, non-food inflation - 1.4%, and service inflation - 2.3%. The decrease in annual inflation is influenced by external and internal factors," the CBA says.
