March 11, Fineko/abc.az. Türkiye is currently the 3rd largest exporter of scripted TV series in the world after America and the UK.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign press that an article about this was published in The Economist.

The publication notes that in the period from 2020 to 2023, the demand for Turkish shows increased by 184% compared to the global level. According to this indicator, the producer of dramatic films was also ahead of South Korea.

The magazine notes that Turkish shows are popular not only in the Middle East, but also in Europe and Latin America.

So, last year, Spain, Saudi Arabia and Egypt became the three largest importers of new Turkish shows.

The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce estimates that Turkish television exports will bring in $600 million in 2022.
