Baku to host II International Conference on Cyber Diplomacy

September 9, Fineko/abc.az. The II International Conference on Cyber Diplomacy (ICCD 2026) will be held in Baku on November 19.

The event is organized by the Service and the National Institute for Research and Development in the Field of Informatics of Romania with the participation of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Digital Development & Transport, the State Security Service and other local partners.

The theme of the conference will be "Power & Influence in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: a Regional perspective on the Changing Cyberspace Landscape".

Participants will discuss the impact of AI on international relations and diplomacy, the balance between cyber finance and strategic autonomy, the role of large technology companies in geopolitics, threats of information warfare and deepfakes, trust and responsible behavior in cyberspace, protection of critical infrastructure and cross-border security risks.

ICCD 2026 will be attended by international experts, ambassadors and diplomats accredited in Azerbaijan, as well as representatives of international organizations.

The 1st International Conference on Cyber Diplomacy took place in Azerbaijan in 2024. It was attended by about 120 representatives from more than 30 countries.
