March 7, Fineko/abc.az. Agreements on opening credit lines to Azerbaijani banks will be signed in 2024.

ABC.AZ reports that Zakir Nuriyev, the president of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan, said about this during a conference in Baku "Economic reforms and modern challenges of improving the business environment".

He recalled that during 2023, international financial institutions signed a number of agreements on the opening of large-scale credit lines to Azerbaijani banks.

"Agreements on opening of credit lines to Azerbaijani banks will be signed in 2024. In the coming months, we will witness the continuous signing of these contracts. As ABA, together with the Central Bank and the Ministry of Economy, we have launched a project to finance socio-economic development. The aim of the project is to form a systematic approach to expanding the financing of the real system," Nuriyev stressed.
