March 7, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Dec 2023, Azerbaijan imported 1.267 million smartphones for $334.347 million from abroad.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that import figures in quantitative terms exceed 181.37 million manats, or 2.2-fold and in quantitative terms — 591,210 phones (87.5%).

Over Jan-Dec 2023, the country imported 675,824 smartphones for $152.97 million.

This means that the import price for 1 smartphone was about $264 (449 manats) against $226 (385 manats) for Jan-Dec 2023. The import price of a smartphone grew by $38 (64 manats) over the past year, in other words, by 16.6%.
