March 6, Fineko/abc.az. In 2023, as a result of the work done by the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan, overstated and unjustified payments in the amount of 726 million manats were revealed, during inspections 3.6 million manats of this amount were returned by the perpetrators.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in Cabinet Ministers’ activity report for 2023.

The report says that 3.6 million manats out of 8 million manats of overstated payments made due to non-compliance with the requirements of regulatory legal acts regulating the expenditure of finances allocated from the State Budget have been returned to the budget by the perpetrators. Fines in the amount of 57,300 manats were imposed on 59 officials for administrative violations committed in budgetary organizations revealed during inspections, and the payment of these finances to the State Budget was ensured.

During inspections conducted in 90 of the controlled facilities, overstated and unjustified payments in the amount of 718.5 million manats were revealed, the materials of the inspections were sent by the ministry to the relevant law enforcement agencies for appropriate measures.
