March 5, Fineko/abc.az. As of January 1, 2024, the assets of the insurance sector of Azerbaijan amounted to 1.804 bn mantas (13.2% more than at the end of 2022), ABC.AZ informs with reference to Cabinet Ministers’ report for 2023.

At the beginning of this year, 952 million manats or 52.8% of sector's assets were invested in securities (32.4% more than in early 2023).

Insurers' investments in government securities grew by 33.2% up to 842 million manats, and investments in non-government securities by 26.4% up to 110 million manats.

Sector's finances in deposit accounts increased by 1.9% up to 325 million manats.
