Liquid assets of the Azerbaijani banking sector amount to 13 bn manats

March 5, Fineko/abc.az. As of January 1, 2024, the liquid assets of the Azerbaijani banking sector totaled 13.1 bn manats, or 26.7% of sector's assets.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in Cabinet Ministers’ report for 2023.

The document says that sector's instant liquidity ratio exceeded the minimum demand (30%) by almost 1.7 times, making up 52%.

The structure of liquid assets is as follows: 38% in nostro accounts (5 bn manats), 36% in government securities (4.8 bn manats), 12% (1.5 bn manats) in CBA correspondent accounts and 14% in cash (1.9 bn manats).
