February 8, Fineko/abc.az. In 2024, the State Budget will allocate 35 million manats to provide housing for military personnel who are on the waiting list for housing and who have served flawlessly in the Armed Forces for 20 years or more, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Finance Minister Samir Sharifov.

"As you know, there is a legal framework for this purpose. A special commission was established by the decree of December 28, 2011 "On measures to strengthen the social protection of servicemen of the Azerbaijani Army". Representatives of various bodies are represented on the commission. The Commission, periodically holding meetings, resolves both the issues of admission of military personnel to service according to appropriate criteria, and considers the issue of providing apartments to military personnel who are on the waiting list. The process is ongoing. This year's budget envisages 35 million manats for these purposes," he said.
