February 8, Fineko/abc.az. The National Bank of Moldova has lowered the base rate from 4.75% to 4.25% amid the reduction in inflation.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the National Bank of Moldova that overnight loan and deposit rates have been cut from 6.75% to 6.25% and from 2.75% to 2.25% per annum, respectively.
In October 2022, inflation in Moldova reached its peak of 34.6% and began to slow down. By September 2023, inflation slowed to 8.6% year-on-year. The base rate was last changed in November, when it was reduced from 6% to 4.75%.
