February 5, Fineko/abc.az. Iran's deposits in foreign banks fell by $5.3 billion to $12.7 billion, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Bank for International Settlements,

These are the figures for the last three quarters of 2023 - the period from March 21 to December 21.

During this time, Iran's deposits in foreign banks and financial institutions amounted to $12.76 bn. And this means a reduction of $5.3 bn versus the 2022 same term.

According to the report, 69% of deposits were made to foreign banks in euro (8.803 bn euro) and the deposits in dollars totaled $433 million.
