Share of digital transactions in capital market to be increased up to 70%

January 26, Fineko/abc.az. It is planned to increase the share of transactions carried out by digital means in the total amount of transactions from current 0% to 70% in the capital market of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the Financial Sector Development Strategy for 2024-26" approved by the Central Bank (CBA).

According to the document, it is planned to increase the number of individual deposit accounts on the capital market from the current 1,000 to potentially 50,000, as well as financing real sector enterprises through the debt capital market from the current 500 million manats to potentially 1.5 billion  manats.

In addition, the average time spent investing in capital markets will be reduced from the current 1 day to potentially less than 15 minutes.
