January 26, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank's leadership will hold its first meeting in 2024 to review interest rates.
The regulator is due to make a decision on January 31 on which direction changes will be made to the interest rate parameters, ABC.AZ reports.
In 2023, in three of the eight meetings, interest rates were increased by 25 basis points each, in five they were transferred to a reserve position, and in the last two they were reduced by 50 basis points each. The lower limit of the interest rate has been reduced to 6.50%, the upper limit to 9.00%, and the discount interest rate to 8.00%.
The Central Bank decided to raise the discount rate in September 2021.
