January 25, Fineko/abc.az. In 2023, Azerbaijan produced building materials for 1.18 bn manats ($694.3 million), which is 31.8% more than in 2022, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

Production of cement reached 3.725 million tons (a rise of 4.6%), prefabricated concrete structures – 31,300 cu m (decline of 37.5%), asphalt – 159,300 tons (drop of 27.3%).

In addition, the production of building bricks totaled 616,700 cu m (decline of 19.1%), building glass – 8.807 million sq m (a rise of 12.9%).

The country produced cement clinker (3.869 million tons; a rise of 36.9%), building gypsum (85,000 tons; a rise of 98.1%), ready-mixed concrete (4.054 million tons; decline of 7.6%), construction lime (44,000 tons; a drop of 5%).

In 2022, Azerbaijan produced building materials for 1.85 bn manats ($638.8 million), which is 12.6% more than in 2021.
