Banks’ loan portfolio exceeded 23 bn manats

January 23, Fineko/abc.az. In December, the loan portfolio of banks increased by 1.3%, or by 301.7 million manats, up to 23.18 million manats.

ABC.AZ reports that the structure of the loan portfolio is as follows:

1. Business loans - 54.4% (12.616 bn manats);

2. Consumer loans – 29.9% (6.937 million manats) and

3. Mortgage loans – 15.7% (3.629.2 million manats).

During the month, business, consumer and mortgage loans increased by 195.5 million manats (+1.6%), 67.3 million manats (+1%) and 38.9 million manats (+1.1%), respectively. In general, in 2023, the loan portfolio of banks grew by 18.3% or 3.6 billion manats.

49% of the loan portfolio growth was provided by business, 33% by consumer loans and 18% by mortgage loans.

The share of overdue loans in the total loan portfolio (including NBCOs and credit unions) decreased by 1.1 p.p. versus the same month of 2022 to 1.8%.
