January 16, Fineko/abc.az. As of January 1, 2024, Azerbaijan's foreign exchange reserves amounted to $67.68 bn.

ABC.AZ reports that 82.8% or $56.69 bn of them accounted for the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ), and 17.2% or $11.613 bn for the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

In the 4th quarter of 2023, the country's foreign exchange reserves grew by $2.38 bn (or 3.6%). Thus, SOFAZ's foreign exchange reserves increased by $545.7 million (or 1%), and CBA's foreign exchange reserves by $1.837 bn (or 18.8%).

Over the past year, the country's currency reserves grew by $9.653 bn (or by 16.6%). In particular, SOFAZ's foreign exchange reserves increased by $7.36 bn (or by 14.3%) and CBA's foreign exchange reserves by $2.617 bn (or by 29.1%).
