December 30, Fineko/abc.az. Since the beginning of the year, the Nigerian naira has depreciated by 55%, and now 1,043 nairas are given for one dollar.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Bloomberg that Naira is ending its worst year in the 21st century.

In 2023, things were worse only for the Argentine peso, which fell in price by 78%, and the Lebanese pound, which collapsed almost by 90%.

The oil-rich African country is experiencing a crisis because of overdue debt obligations to foreign creditors.

Bloomberg analysts believe the country should attract new international investors and increase oil production.
