December 22, Fineko/abc.az. 138 business entities have the status of residents in the economic zones of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that Economic Zones Development Agency’s chairman of board Elshad Nuriyev informed at the Azerbaijani-Turkish Investment Forum that output for 11.1 bn mantas were produced in industrial zones, and of them , products for 3.6 bn manats were directed for export.

"Over Jan-Sept 2023, companies operating in industrial zones sold output for 2.3 bn manats, and 31% (more than 722 million manats) of them were exported. The share of industrial zones in the export of non-primary products made up 17.9% and in the non-oil sector of the country's industry - 17.9%. All this suggests that industrial zones, whose products are exported to more than 60 countries of the world, play an important role in the development of the non-oil sector," Nuriyev noted.
