WB enters active phase of AZTAF program in Azerbaijan

December 22, Fineko/abc.az. The World Bank held the presentation on Azerbaijan Rapid Technical Assistance Facility (AZTAF) in Baku.

ABC.AZ reports that during the presentation, AZTAF program coordinator Leyla Tagieva said that the Azerbaijani government is provided with advisory support within the program.

"The WB is entering the active phase of AZTAF program. AZTAF is aimed at strengthening the management of public institutions and the public sector, stimulating economic reforms, increasing social inclusion and communications, and contributing to the process of effective recovery after COVID-19," she stressed.

Tagieva noted that 9 components of technical assistance are funded within the AZTAF.

"The program is aligned with the five national priorities and the socio-economic development strategy for 2022-26. The total budget of the program is 5.25 million euro," she added.

According to Tagiyeva, the program will continue until April 2025.

"AZTAF is being implemented in accordance with four EU priorities: stronger governance, a stronger economy, connectivity and sustainability, and a stronger society," Tagieva emphasized.
