December 20, Fineko/abc.az. The low average interest rate on loan phases in Baku is linked with the fact that a significant part of the business, as well as mortgage loans, accounts for the capital of Azerbaijan, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Vugar Bayramov.

He added that low-interest loans are used more in Baku.

"Banks still highly assess credit risk in the districts of the country. In this regard, consumer loans at high interest rates are increasingly preferred in the districts," Bayramov noted.

The MP believes that eliminating the regional imbalance in interest on loans is extremely important:

"The development of districts requires expanding access to loans at lower interest rates. The Central Bank should also expand its stimulus measures in this direction."
