December 20, Fineko/abc.az. Loans in the districts are 2-fold times more expensive than in Baku, ABC.AZ reports, quoting MP Vugar Bayramov.

He noted that with average interest rate on loans in Baku of 11.05%, in Mountain Shirvan the average interest rate on loans is 19.67%, in Karabakh 19.32%, economic regions Mil-Mugan 19.13%, Lankaran-Astara 19.1%, Shirvan-Salyan 18.75%, Central Aran 18.59%, Gazakh-Tovuz 18.42%. According to the Central Bank, the average interest rate on loans in Azerbaijan is 12.56%.

The MP noted that the high interest rate in the districts reduces citizens' access to loans.

This means that the share of loans directed to the real sector is small, particularly in the districts. And this prevents an increase in investments in the districts.
