December 19, Fineko/abc.az. The introduction of co-financing in compulsory health insurance has been postponed for another year.

ABC.AZ reports that in this regard, President Ilham Aliyev signed a documents on amendments to the Law on Medical Insurance.

Under the amending document, the insured must pay the amount of co-financing when using outpatient, laboratory, functional diagnostic medical services directly without seeking primary health care or when contacting a state medical institution located outside the territorial medical unit where he is sent to receive medical services under compulsory medical insurance.

In order to widely introduce and form a system of public access to medical services and compulsory medical insurance, the draft envisages postponement of the application of the relevant article of the law until January 1, 2025.
