From now on, Azerbaijan to require a new document for imported baby food

December 11, Fineko/abc.az. A new requirement has been established for baby food imported in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the Rules approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet Ministers.

Thus, for the import into the customs territory of Azerbaijan of homogenized jam, fruit jelly, marmalade, fruit or nut puree, fruit or nut paste subjected to hot processing (including with the addition of sugar or other sweeteners) for infants, an appropriate document confirming their safety will be required.

Under the decision, homogenized non-frozen vegetables and homogenized ready-made complex (mixed) foods for infants, cooked or canned without the addition of vinegar or acetic acid, as well as homogenized ready-made complex (mixed) foods for infants are also included in the list of foods that must be accompanied by an appropriate document confirming their safety for import to the customs territory of Azerbaijan.
